When You Visit

Hours
The Front Desk is staffed 24-hours a day. A doorman is on duty Monday through Friday, from 6:30 a.m. until 10:30 p.m.

Dress Code
Coats and dress shirts with ties optional for men and corresponding dress for women are required for the Grill Room for lunch and dinner. Business casual attire is required for the remaining gathering and dining facilities. Management may designate certain areas and events as coat and tie, business casual or summer casual from time to time as appropriate. Members are responsible for their Guest’s apparel. These same rules apply to all Club events and parties including private parties in Club rooms unless approved by the Club Manager.

Business Casual
Attire for males 12 years of age and older dress shirts (tucked in) with collars, traditional slacks, traditional closed toe shoes (athletic shoes, sandals are not appropriate). Denim jeans of any style or color, or other denim apparel are not appropriate. Skirts must be of an appropriate length. No tattered apparel or clothing with graphics allowed.

Summer Casual
Attire includes definitions for tasteful casual attire but permits the use of short-sleeved collared shirts in the summer months on The Terrace.

Overnight Room Guests
Members and guests staying in an overnight room may check-in/out in more casual (but tasteful) or athletic attire (including shorts, denim jeans) but must proceed directly to their room and abide by the Club’s dress code while in residence.
Guest Room Rates

Private Room Guests
Members and guests utilizing a private event room may transit through the lobby en route to the room or event in more casual (but tasteful) attire but may not access any other Club facilities unless in appropriate attire.

Electronics
The use of cell phones for verbal communications is limited to phone booths, private meeting rooms, and guest rooms.

Parking
Valet parking is available to members at all times. Valet service is not available to guests of members, however cars may pull up to the front of The Club for loading and unloading.

Papers
It is appreciated if members keep all documents or papers out of sight in The Grill Room, The Library Bar, and The Terrace.

Cancellations
Unless stated otherwise, cancellations for all Club-sponsored events must be received a minimum of 72-hours in advance. Any cancellation within 72-hours of the event or no-shows will be charged the full cost of the reservation.

Gratuities
Staff members are prohibited from accepting gratuities. If you would like to show your appreciation, please inquire with the Front Desk about the Employee Holiday Fund.

In order to remove any barriers members may have to visiting the Club, the Board of Directors has determined that a relaxation of the Club's dress code during these times would be appropriate. As such, jackets and ties will not be required in any part of the clubhouse for the foreseeable future. We do ask, however, that members and guests availing themselves of casual attire take into consideration the special nature of The Chicago Club.
